Robert Purdy
Quality Systems Engineer
Robert Purdy joined Safetec in July 2026 as a Quality Systems Engineer, bringing more than 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing and quality systems. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Forensic Science Technology from Alfred State College, where he developed the critical thinking and analytical problem-solving skills that continue to serve him in quality-driven manufacturing environments. His education also fostered a strong quality-focused mindset that has carried throughout his career.
Prior to joining Safetec, Robert worked for other life sciences companies in the Western New York area, where he gained extensive experience in injectable drug manufacturing, as well as expertise in microbiology, chemistry, metrology, validation, and quality systems. His diverse background allows him to bring a well-rounded perspective to continuous improvement and regulatory compliance.
Robert was drawn to Safetec because of its collaborative culture and positive work environment. Having previously worked with several members of the Safetec team, he knew firsthand the company’s commitment to teamwork, support, and shared success.
Outside of work, Robert enjoys staying active through fitness, skateboarding, traveling, and playing guitar.
Fun Facts:
• Robert has a titanium jaw.
• Despite living in Western New York, he has never been to Niagara Falls.
