Mikayla Bush

Analytical Chemist I

Mikayla joined Safetec in July 2026 as an Analytical Chemist I. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biology from D’Youville University and her Master’s degree in Forensic Chemistry from Buffalo State, where she gained extensive hands-on laboratory experience using many of the same analytical instruments she now works with at Safetec.

In her role, Mikayla performs analytical testing on raw materials, in-process samples, stability samples, and finished products while supporting quality assurance through accurate documentation and cGMP compliance. She brings strong technical laboratory skills, excellent time management, and a commitment to producing reliable, high-quality results.

Mikayla was drawn to Safetec because of the opportunity to begin her career in a hands-on laboratory environment and work alongside a team that shares her passion for quality. During the interview process, she quickly recognized Safetec’s welcoming, family-oriented culture and knew it was the right place to start her professional journey.

Outside of work, Mikayla enjoys spending time outdoors with her dog, playing slow-pitch softball with former D’Youville teammates, traveling with her family, and relaxing at the beach. Born in Germany, she has dual citizenship and has developed a lifelong fascination with alligators after years of traveling to Florida for softball tournaments.
