Andrea Haskins, PhD

Andrea Haskins, PhD, joined Safetec in May 2026 as a Senior Regulatory Specialist, bringing more than 15 years of experience in scientific research, product development, quality systems, and regulatory affairs. Andrea studied chemistry and materials science–related fields at Masaryk University before earning her PhD in Materials Science from The University of Edinburgh. Her education and research background provided a strong scientific and analytical foundation that continues to support her work in regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and product development.

Before joining Safetec, Andrea built her career across both industry and academic research environments in the United States, United Kingdom, and Czech Republic. She most recently worked as a Senior Specialist in Quality & Regulatory Compliance, where she led regulatory initiatives, FDA registrations, audits, quality systems, and consumer affairs programs for cosmetic and over-the-counter (OTC) products. She also previously worked as a Chemist supporting cosmetic and OTC product development. Earlier in her career, Andrea worked managing catalyst development and commercialization projects, while also holding research and teaching positions at Rice University, The University of Edinburgh, and Masaryk University.

Andrea brings a thoughtful combination of scientific expertise, regulatory knowledge, and cross-functional industry experience to Safetec. Her background includes regulatory compliance for cosmetic and OTC products, GMP quality systems, audits, validation, manufacturing support, and product lifecycle management. She was drawn to Safetec because of the company’s commitment to safety, quality, innovation, and teamwork, and she values being part of an organization that creates products with a meaningful impact.

Outside of work, Andrea enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, camping, and exploring nature and historical sites. She especially enjoys planning family road trips and outdoor adventures.

Fun Facts:

1. Andrea is a long-distance swimmer and hopes to swim the English Channel one day.
2. She spends most of her free time outdoors and proudly considers herself a “tree hugger.”
