Andrew Mowbray
Chemist III, Product Development
Andrew has been with Safetec since 2016. He started as a lab tech right out of graduate school from UB’s engineering program and has since worked his way up to Chemist III, taking a leading role in method development for the new product development team.
His day-to-day involves the testing and release of finished goods and chemical raw materials. He also provides engineering services for the lab.
Andrew studied Chemical Engineering at the University at Buffalo, which gave him a broad knowledge of chemistry and hands-on applications of instruments and systems. Andrew has been pivotal in supporting validation testing and performing more complex raw material testing at Safetec. He has been taking the lead on training junior chemists on more advanced analytical skills in the lab and take on more of an active role in the R&D group in his new position as a Chemist III.
For fun, Andrew likes to work on cars, attend live music performances, and feed this adventurous side by taking day trips for hiking, exploring, trying new things and places.

- Once potty trained a parrot.
- Won a Halloween costume contest dressed as Captain Morgan.
