Why buy American?

When it comes to making purchasing decisions, many customers are looking the other way to where their products are being made, increasing the debate about whether to order from overseas or companies in the United States. When purchasing American-made products from companies like Safetec of America, Inc., there are multiple benefits to both the customer and the company, and you may even find manufacturing stateside can save you money.

Where’s it coming from?

Here at Safetec, we manufacture and distribute all our products from three facilities located in Buffalo, N.Y. We manufacture all our products in either our FDA-regulated facility or our non-regulated facility and distribute them from our state-of-the-art distribution center, located right around the corner.

With our manufacturing and distribution facilities in proximity, we can produce and ship our products with less lead time, getting customers our products easier and faster. Not to mention, if an issue does occur, our response time to resolve any issue is much quicker.

When using overseas manufacturers, there are many potential risk factors you could be up against. For instance, you may run into cultural/language barriers, delayed shipping, hidden prices, and more.

At Safetec, we can make the process easier and more convenient for you to get what you need when you need it. When you work with us, you’ll talk directly with a member of our team who works right in our Main Headquarters, not in a call center thousands of miles away. You get a partner to work beside you, making the process as convenient as possible. When you’re looking to buy products like ours that keep people safe and protected, you want to know that you’re getting a quality product so you can have peace of mind. Whether you’re looking for first aid, infection control, or over the counter (OTC) or have a unique private label project, we have you covered.

What are you getting?

When buying American-made products, you have a better opportunity to know what you’re getting. We have rigorous testing that’s done throughout our process, and standard operating procedures are outlined in detail. We work hard to maintain good manufacturing practices and audits, not to mention following the safety standards set by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).

When you buy from us, you’re not just getting a quality product; you’re supporting American jobs, local economies, and local businesses. Safetec has been employing Buffalonians for over 30 years. We have many people who have immigrated from other countries to the U.S. and found careers with us. The number of employees who have tenures of 10-20 years is numerous! When ordering overseas, it can be hard to know how workers are treated and how their facilities are managed.
