Jared Cross

Jared brings extensive maintenance, and facilities experience to his role as Junior Manufacturing Engineer at Safetec. Before transitioning into engineering, he spent five years in food manufacturing maintenance, five years in Safetec’s own Maintenance Department, and more than five years supporting maintenance operations in the hospitality and education industries. This background has given him a strong foundation in equipment upkeep, HVAC, building maintenance, plumbing, and electrical systems.

Jared contributes valuable skills in creating SOPs for maintenance operations, document control, and understanding regulatory requirements in both food and pharmaceutical environments. His hands-on expertise in running and maintaining facility equipment helps support Safetec’s focus on safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Outside of work, Jared enjoys spending time with his wife and children and loves being outdoors whenever possible.

Jared was drawn to Safetec by the opportunity to take on new challenges in a different industry while continuing to pursue his passion for safety-driven, efficient maintenance practices.

Fun Facts:

• Jared has been a certified first responder and interior firefighter with two volunteer fire companies, where he assisted in saving both property and lives.

• He has a lifelong dream of owning and operating his own hotel and campground.
