Safetec of America, Inc. has been named a recipient of the Business First 2020 I.D.E.A. Award

The I.D.E.A. Awards are a chance to honor a leader or organization that is creating an inclusive workforce. Founded in 1992 and headquartered in Buffalo, NY, Safetec of America hires employees from around the world. With 166 employees and growing, Safetec offers some advice to other companies:

Let diversity shine within your organization. Allowing for diverse perspectives and experiences can directly impact and improve company culture, internal processes, innovation, and increased rapport with customers. A diverse team of individuals also adds unique talents that will help strengthen your entire organization. When a newspaper article is printed with individuals featured from your company, take special care in selecting who is showcased. You want potential candidates to be able to see themselves in your work environment and say, “I want to work there.”

What’s Next: Safetec’s vision is to continue our growth and expansion by providing regulatory compliance, further developing our OTC product line, and meeting our customers’ needs for today and into the future while building a small community of diverse employees we like to call family.

Proudest Accomplishment: Our proudest accomplishment is building the team we have today. Often, people on the outside looking in always wonder what the secret sauce is for successful companies. With confidence, we can say that Safetec’s special sauce is our employees. It takes a lot of hard work in the manufacturing industry to build a workplace culture that employees can rally around. When expanding our team, we are focused on our company culture and the care our customers receive from each department. From the time an order is taken to when the product is produced, packaged, and shipped. We have developed a fantastic referral program over the last year that has seen great success, and being nominated as Best Place to Work in WNY only further encourages candidates to apply for open positions at Safetec.
