Safetec is GMP Certified!

08/16/18 By Safetec

For years Safetec has been manufacturing top quality first-aid, infection control and compliance products for over twenty-five years. Located in Buffalo, New York, our products are American made and are compliant with OSHA and EPA regulations. Recently, Safetec has also acquired their GMP or Good Manufacturing Practices certification after being audited by UL.

So what does Good Manufacturing Practices mean? GMP regulations were formed by the FDA to observe and regulate the production of goods. These regulations force companies to minimize or eliminate instances of contamination, mix-ups, and errors. By doing this, the products a company develops are marketable and safe directly after manufacturing.

Safetec recently went through the process of attaining GMP certification by being audited by UL. UL is an independent company that uses accredited procedures to test a company’s manufacturing process and facility for GMP compliance. UL’s findings concluded that Safetec is in conformance with Good Manufacturing Practices per 21 CFR Parts 210 & 211 for finished pharmaceuticals; specifically the manufacturing, packaging, and warehousing of gels, ointments, creams, liquids, soaps, and towelettes.

At Safetec, producing high-quality products has been our mission since the company’s founding. The GMP certification allows Safetec to be listed with all similarly compliant companies and sets us apart from competitors who aren’t held to the same standards. Safetec will continue to produce the highest quality products, but now you can be assured that these products are produced expertly and follow the GMP guidelines.
