Your Guide to Automatic & Manual Hand Sanitizer Dispensers
When you are thinking about the best products for hand sanitation needs, the top product on your list should be the dispenser. There are generally two options for hand sanitizer dispensers: Automatic and Manual. Each has their selling points, and we will explain why you should opt to distribute them.
Did you know that at any given time there are about 5,000 germs on your hands? Those germs are giving you a runny nose, make you cough, and can give you diarrhea. Pretty gross stuff right? Once the germs land on our hands, we can easily spread them to others at home, at the office, and even the grocery store. Once germs attach, they are usually ready to set up shop and stay for a while.
How can we kill germs and try to stay healthy from their illnesses? Enter hand sanitizer. A hand sanitizer that has 66.5% Ethyl Alcohol, like the Safetec of America brand does, will kill 99.9% germs. The hand sanitizer that you choose to distribute should meet OSHA, APIC, and CDC hand washing recommendations in the absence of soap and water as well as meet ADA operability.
Which Should You Choose?
Now that you know that you need hand sanitizer, there are 2 main options for dispensers. Automatic and Manual. The main difference between the two types is with the manual you have to apply pressure to the handle to dispense the sanitizer. With the automatic there is a sensor that can tell a hand is nearby and it will dispense the sanitizer.
Some companies now prefer the automatic type because of their modern look. While others prefer the tried and true manual option.
With either option we recommend adding on a drip tray. With the drip tray, if there is a miss, there is not a mess. Sometimes if a user pulls their hand away too fast before it is finished dispensing there will be solution that doesn’t make it onto their hand. With the drip tray, it will catch any excess. It is a nice feature because you do not have to worry about unsightly sanitizer stains on the wall where your dispenser hangs or markings on the carpet below.

How to Display
There are different options to display your hand sanitizer for use. Whether you want to hang it on a wall or mount on a floor stand. For walls there is both a tape mount option as well as a screw mount option. No mess if your clients don’t want to put holes in their walls.
