The skin is the largest organ of the human body. As a barrier, skin prevents harmful bacteria from entering the body. When the skin is damaged, there is an increased risk of infection due to bacteria invading the wound. Enter Safetec’s family of topical antibiotics.

At Safetec, we take safety seriously (after all, it is in the name). So when getting into the OTC game, Safetec shifted the focus on becoming an FDA-regulated facility.

FDA regulations ensure that OTC drugs are safe and that the labels are easy to understand. As a result, OTC drugs can be bought and used safely without a prescription. All OTC drug products must meet FDA quality, effectiveness, and safety standards and follow OTC monographs.

In 2002, Safetec expanded its first aid line to include ointments and creams in single-use pouches. Since then, the family of OTC products has continued to expand and grow with customers’ needs.

Safetec’s Single Antibiotic Ointment (Bacitracin)

Bacitracin is a topical antibiotic ointment widely used by medical professionals and the general public to treat minor skin injuries, including cuts, scrapes, and burns. Bacitracin works by stopping the growth of certain bacteria and belongs to a class of drugs known as antibiotics.

The convenient single-use packages, 144 count or 25count boxes, make a fast application and instant relief easy.

Single Antibiotic Ointment (Neomycin)

Safetec’s Single Antibiotic Ointment contains Neomycin Sulfate and works to stop the growth of bacteria. In addition, neomycin topical preparations are used to help prevent skin infections. Safetec’s convenient single-use packaging is available in bulk and 144 count dispenser boxes.

Safetec’s Triple Antibiotic Ointment

Safetec’s Triple Antibiotic Ointment contains Bacitracin, Neomycin, and Polymyxin B to help prevent infection and aids in the healing of minor cuts, scrapes, and burns.

Sometimes referred to as first aid ointment, Triple antibiotic is used to prevent infection on minor cuts before an infection develops. Because it is effective against both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, it can also be used when the type of infection already present isn’t known.

National Brand Equivalent Antibiotic Ointments

Comparable to the popular name brand antibiotic ointments, Safetec’s formulations are all NBE! Also, with over 20 years of experience as a private label manufacturer, you can private label our existing Safetec products or formulas. You can trust Safetec when searching for a full-service private label or national brand equivalent (NBE) manufacturer for your product or product line.

Expanding Safetec’s First Aid Line

In early 2021 Safetec installed a new high-output tube filling machine, validated using cGMP protocols, to supply distribution and retail customers. In addition, Safetec’s Product Development team is always hard at work to provide our customers with new high-quality OTC products in multi-use tubes.
