How It Looks During The Holidays When You Have The Flu

11/29/16 By Dana Szymkowiak

The holidays are supposed to be the best time of the year. You get to see your cousins, friends from out of town, and there are sooo many cookies, turkeys, and pies to enjoy. Did we mention turkey? Just wanted to make sure that you saw that. If you haven’t ever been sick during the holiday season, consider yourself lucky because this the chain of events of what it looks like.

1. Everyone is having a great time…except you!

2. You may be in denial when that first cough comes on.

3. But sooner or later that one cough turns into many, and others catch on.

4. You show up to the company holiday party (game face on) but everyone sees through your act.

5. You confide in “your person” at work that you are a bit under the weather – with a smile on your face.

6. You go home after the party, and that is when it just hits you like a brick wall.

7. Your phone rings, because everyone is in town – and they are all concerned.

 8. All you want to do is get comfortable, but you cant find a good position.

9. An endless loop plays in your head about what all your friends are doing now, and you picture yourself at the party.

10. You regret that you didnt get your flu shot the first week when it came out.
